Here's your post Paul.

Well, It's been a while. Months have passed, days have passed, and Christmas is less than 2 weeks away. The time has been flying, it seems like just yesterday I was riding to the pool every day for swim practice. and now I still go out and ride my bike every day, but the grass is not as green as it was, The days are not as long as they were, and the thermometer stays below 40 degrees. Now when I go out for a ride it takes me 25 minutes just to get all "suited up."
Riding shorts, riding tights, long sleeve shirt, wool socks, clip shoes, 'booties', Jacket (windbreaker), gloves, hat, neck warmer, helmet, put pocket knife, Zippo, wallet, and phone into my bag, don't forget the water bottle, (it usually freezes around the edges) and then take off. it
lately I have been riding about ten miles around the park. usually I will do a few sprints.
That cold air really takes the breath out of you. I did finally get my cannondale bike. (from the blog before.) and we bought a welder for Christmas. I took a welding class at the Capital Area Career Center. ( part of Lincoln Land..) It was a fast four weeks. The first class was very boring, it was all safety, which is good but not the most fun part of the class. The other 3 classes were lots of fun; there was still teaching but only 1 hour. ( it's a 2 hour class) so anyway I really liked the stick welder. the only wire feed I did was a 1 inch bead that we had to do as a sortof qualifier
that the teacher instructed us on. I had told my Dad I liked the stick and would rather get that than a wire feed, because for 1 it takes more skill and for 2 it's not so pricy then we hit a perverbial 'brick wall' besides the dryer hook up, we don't have a 220 outlet, and no one liked my idea of putting up a clothes line, getting rid of the dryer and running a cord to the garage.
It was kind of a "red green" inspired idea anyways. so we ended up wit a 110 clarke stick welder
"Yess" (Kip Dynamite.)and we bought some rods a dry 'rod keeper' and a few other accessories. the welder has not been opened yet thanks to Daddy Rod. He made me look him in the eyes and say that I would not bug about the welder. So I came up with a solution; He did not say anything to Jude? but that did not work. oh well 13 days and counting right now I am in Mahomet Illinois for the weekend, we are helping my Grandma and Grandpa Kneller decrate for Christmas. and we also have a Birthday party to go to for my cousin Aidan who is getting a surprise bithday present. be back sunday, Good night,

This is the library card catalogue that my great grandmother Bea gave to me.
it has a gross peice of fibre board on the top and it needed replaced with something so i took it off and found this. the picture aboce is right after I took the fibre board off. I had done no work to the catalogue, the picture of me applying linnseed oil is with the top finished. the drawers were showing their age too so I took off all of the handles, sanded the fronts of the cabinets and oiled them. then put it all back together. I am torn on what to do for the top. I am not sure whether to screw down the base peice visible in picture 2. ( which I have sanded and oiled.) or order a peice of 1/4" polished edge glass for $38.00 the glass would be good for inside the house and would show off the wood very nicely while still giving me a durable flat surface. the wood would cover up the top of the "catalogue" and leave marks from spills, cold glasses, etc. but would be cheaper. just another project.
Thanks McPhersons,

My Gosh, another one already ! ! !

Yes that's right I'm buying another bike. This bike is needed though, it is a touring bicycle like for when I ride to grandma Kneller's next spring, and things like that. It's a brand new 1996 one they've had lating around the bike shop, I'll be changing things like bare, stem, seat, and brake levers, for a newer look, but besides those It is cool, I need to get to Bed Pray for Grandpa Kneller to find out what to do with his 'lemons' http://skkinterface.bolgspot.com/
Me and my Dad have a 62 mile bike event tomorrow. the color is:
sparkly-brown-black-green-smoke-sparkle-kind-of-color.
BE HAPPY B-McKneller

retired.

I finally retired my old redwings. My dad's friends mom gave these to me 2 years ago because she never wore them, they were as hard as a rock, they had not been boken in but I took care of that they feel like tennis-shoes now, but theyr'e too small after a day of working in these my toes would hurt from being crammed in there, so I had to get some new boots. I wanted some 8 inch boots so I got some 'georgia boot' loggers, and guess what they were as hard as a rock but that's changing slowly, I am still getting used to the high heel. I would have liked to get a pair of redwings but i was not about to spend $250 on a pair of boots I'll be too bigfor in a year so i settled for these they're not too bad.

Happy-days (though the weather may not be)

:-) These days are short and few, the hot days of summer, they consist of swimming, biking,
being with family, and for me working on projects. My longest project this summer was earning money for my bike, which I did finally get yesterday. the guys at the bike shop gave me a different bike to ride while my fork was in connecticut it was a nice bike but the back end was carbon fibre and composite plastic, so it flexed a little, so was afraid to crank it too hard.
I did like the brakes and the shifters, which are the same as on my bike. anyway I rode that bike
the 3.5 miles to R&M while carrying the front tire to my bike in my hand. when I arrived I was like Yes, I completed my challenge, I do that alot make challenges for my self. I got there and with the help of some other "wrenches" we changed the oil in the oil cartridge and put it all back together and voi'la I finally have my bike I rode it home in the rain and to my surprise there were no more bumps on the sidewalk, either that or i could'nt feel them on that bike. Something else I am happy about is that I can do long wheelies on it, (thank goodness)once I got home I detailed the bike and waxed it, ate dinner and then finally watched the olympic BMX racing it was short and sweet. on tuesday night Grandpa kneller picked up me, jude, aidan, and ava and took us east to mahomet where jude stayed at aidans house and Me and grandpa worked on projects. we completed a copper arch consisting of 68 sweated copper joints and and got halfway through a wood side table , for more reference
