Genesis, chapter 37
This chapter is about Joseph, Jacob’s favorite son.
Jacob, Joseph’s father got him a colorful coat, and then Joseph had his dream;
Now, you need to know that he had twelve brothers, and they did not like him because he his Dads favorite child, and he had a coat and they did not. They hated him.
In his dream, he dreamt that him and his brothers were out in the field gathering sheaves, and
His sheave rose up taller than the other ones and his brothers sheaves all bowed down to his.
He had another dream like this where he was lifted up above the others,
When he told this to his brothers it just made them ‘hate him more’
Joseph was kind of bragging. So what did his brothers do? They threw him in a pit and sold him as a slave to some Egyptians, I’ll bet that humbled him.
Amazing Grace how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now I am found; was blind but now I see.

Whoa! There's more to that story. Braggin is in the heart, no matter what others think... and "it ain't braggin if you can back it up.." Problem is, we may not know if he was braggin or simply telling what he saw... (the secret is in his heart) And we know the rest of the story.. Now, I've probably blown your plans for your next post, right???
I love the story of the coat of many colors! I tried to enlarge the coat to see what the writing on it was but, it wouldn't enlarge. Who knew at that time that GOD had a plan to make Joseph so important,that he would save all his brothers from starving?!!!So, I never thought about the fact that Joseph was bragging to his brothers but, you know I think he was. Most people know if you tell your brothers or sisters that you are their father's favorite, that there will be jealously or problems.-- Grandma
