Thanks Dad

I did finally get my bike, my Dad paid the $100 I had to go on the payment.

since this bike is a Cannondale it has a "head-shok" which is just one shok on the front in center,

in stead of one on each side.Water somehow got inside of the the protective boot and into the bearings which in turn rusted. When I got over my fever we went to the bike shop and I disassembled it there with the help of some guys experienced with headshok's.

The first thing they said was, "let the air out of it" (the air chamber) Todd our friend at the shop failed to do this one and the thing almost blew his head off it took out the ceiling light above him.

So we sent the fork back to Cannondale and they are putting new bearings in, they told me that it would be about 2 weeks, that was one week ago tomorrow.

I have the front wheel in my closet and the fork is somewhere in Bethel Connecticut, and the rest of the bike is in a Morton building on Washington street.

Life must be hard without your bike. HaHa - all kidding aside, I know how boys love their bikes. They must not have very good inspectors if your bike came that way.Bummer Dude! Can hardly wait for you to visit - it will be so much fun!!! Only one more week to go!!! Love you - G

That had to be like getting a melted ice cream bar. See Proverbs 13:12. At least you know it's coming soon. I just heard on the news that with the gas crunch, people are switching to bicycles, and with it, bike theft is on the rise. http://www.sfbike.org/?theft. Remember Aidan's Stingray. See you next week.
